He kicked off the anniversary with his first-ever mix CD, The Politics of Dancing, and capped off the year-long bash with this wonderful CD/DVD combo. On Global, PVD proves he is ever the consummate artist by giving his classic tracks a modern update and boosting them with 5.1 surround sound. Despite the fresh reworking, tracks like "For an Angel" and "Another Way" retain the heartfelt with synthetic, catchy cores that made them such beloved trance anthems in the first place. The DVD puts those CD tunes to the small screen and skates with them across the world, from market stalls in the Far East, to super-clubbing on the West Coast and to fanaticism at festivals in the UK and at Germany’s Love Parade, with which he’s had a long, storied association.
